Shadowcast Partners is a privately held commercial real estate (CRE) investment, development and advisory partnership focused on opportunities with strong secular and geographic momentum.
Our CRE platform prioritizes value-added real estate close to home in Western Montana and markets in surrounding states with sustained growth and notable supply constraints. We also operates an advisory consultancy group for the sound stage and film production studio industrial asset class.

In the sound stage/studio industrial real estate space we generally act in a 3rd party advisory capacity, advising clients on site planning, operating assumptions and financial underwriting. In some cases we may contribute fees into a silent GP position or invest as an LP. Ultimately, however, our objective is to help clients make sense of this rather opaque asset class, put them in a position to successfully capitalize their project and activate their development plans.
Conversely, our Intermountain West CRE group actively manages the acquisition, management and redevelopment of properties in a general partner (GP) role.
We believe strongly in the power of partnerships and in special cases we'll JV (as land owner) with a highly regarded development partner. In such cases we selectively identify groups whose experience and resources will deliver incremental value, while still adhering to Shadowcast's core values. In such partnerships it must be a case where 1 + 1 = 3.

First and foremost, targeted properties must possess the qualities necessary to produce strong short term stabilized cash flow even in adverse market conditions.
Secondarily, we prioritize assets in the path of progress; sites which have the potential to produce outsized investor returns over the medium to long term due to favorable zoning or perceived redevelopment potential.
